Open Item with address

Joel Allen

Hi,

I'm trying to open a task item from the address bar in Outlook and it's not
working.

Isn't this the format?

Outlook://Public Folders/Foldername/~Itemname>

I can't find Itemname anywhere? Also, I tried the subject instead of
Itemname and it would actually open another task that was not the one I
wanted to open.

Here's what I tried. #223751 is the subject. It didn't work.

outlook:\\Public Folders\All Public Folders\Tasks-FramesII\~#223751

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Joel

Thanks. Instead, could I use the entryid field? I found that it looks
something like this:

Outlook:000000001A447390AA6611CD9BC800AA002FC45A0900FD58FA30141FDA42BBEF50B29352AF5500000009F2D500008DC714722DC5A84885D31A618FBF21FE0000000F0AC20000

However, I can't find the EntryID or the field that contains that value.
Can you help?

Thanks,
Joel

It uses the subject. The # is the problem - you need to use the hex code
of %23 for it. (Leading spaces are %20.)
