I'm running WinXP Pro x64 and I need to use Firefox (rather than IE7) to
open Internet shortcuts, typically saved to my desktop. Although I've
specified Firefox as my default Browser XP continues to open such shortcuts
in IE7.

How do I get XP to give in on this? Must I go through the Justice Department
:-)

Regards,
Bill

Dont save the shortcuts to your desktop ....save them to your Bookmarks
folder or under IE under your Favorites and then import them into
Firefox...and open them from within firefox

Thanks for the response and suggestion; however my requirement is that I be
able to open "desktop" Internet shortcuts into Firefox. Any idea how to
accomplish that?

I actually know this can be done because that's exactly it works now on my
laptop; however I've been unable to accomplish this on my desktop machine at
work. AFAIK it "just worked" on my laptop when I made Firefox my default
browser, but that doesn't do it on the desktop machine in question.

thanks,
Bill
