open hyperlink in new window from side bar

Hello
I use TARGET="RESOURCE WINDOW" to open a new window from the main body of a
web page but how do I do this from the side bar. The hyperlink will be from
an image
Here's hoping you can help.
 
Not possible if using FP Navigation component as their is no method for setting a frame target. Also
you should use New Window (_blank) to open a new browser window
