open gl problem

Okay, I have a geforce 2 mx400 64 mb pci video card and it worked fine for everything when I had windows ME. I upgraded to XP Pro and currently, I try to run the game Half-life, but whenever I try to create a game, it tells me that my video card does not support open gl mode, when obviously it does. I went back to ME and it ran fine, and went back but it still didn't work. I'd really like to be able to play games on XP.

In XP,go to run, type:DXDIAG This opens DIRECT X utility to chk software/hardware.

OpenGL is a competitor to DirectX, thus that's not going to help
troubleshoot the issue.

Download the latest set of drivers from www.nvidia.com. You can't use the
standard Microsoft drivers that are included or installed by default with
Windows since they would not support OpenGL.
