Open file once you have Browsed to It

Hi,

I've successfully added the recommended code
(http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0001.htm) to my database and it is
working beautifully. Thanks for posting this to the group.

My next hurtle is to open said "linked file" (stored in a field on my
form) via a click or double click or button on the form. Is there a
recommended method? I've spent an afternoon on this and am getting
nowhere fast. Please advise!

FollowHyperlink will open the file in whatever is the registered executable
for that type.

Alternatively, use Shell if you want to call a specific executable.

Or an API call to ShellExecute if you need to pass more info:
