Open email from Access - HELP

I'm a beginner with access. I have a table with names and email addresses.
I have the email addresses in a hyperlink field. (my guess on the field
type??) When I double click on the cell I get the following default
message: "Unable to open http://(The email address). Cannot locate the
Internet server or proxy server."
What I want it to do is simply open the email application with the email
address in the "Send To" block. Is there a command, default or function I
need to set up?

Please remember I'm a beginner, so spoon feed me if you would... Thanks,

I found the answer. I opened the hyperlink and did an edit. I changed the
address line from "http://" to "mailto:" and it works like a charm...
