Open Documents from Webpage in actual application

I know there's a way to set this up, but I have NO idea how to do it. It was
set correctly on my old PC, but they respun it and now the settings have all
changed.

Example: Link on intranet page points to and Excel or Word document, I want
to open that document in either Excel or Word, not in an IE window.

How can that be set correctly?

Not a FrontPage issue.
You need to set your file associations in My Computer. (but your computer)
