Hi Folks,

I have some updated information on cd that my publisher
gave me to use. When I got home I plugged her in and made
a couple of b/u's and tested them to insure correctness.
Here it is a week later and I am having a hell of a time
getting tjem to open.... Help me...PLEASE.

My thanks in advance,

What kind of CDs? CD-R or CD-RW? What software did you use
to alter the CD and save the changes?

Did you save changes on the hard drive and copy to the CD or
did you burn your only copy to the CD.

Is it an application (program) or data.

does the cd work on another computer. Some times when the
cd drive is dirty or starting to fail this will happen.

You haven't defined the problem.

First, are you trying to open the file on the CD or did you first copy the
file to your hard drive and then try to open it.

Second, are the applications used to create the files in the first place
installed on your PC? If they are not, the files will be unrecognized.
What types of files are these and with what application were they created.
NOTE: Windows XP is not an application it is an operating system,
applications are installed within the operating system.

Third, what errors if any do you receive, having a hell of a time getting
them to open doesn't tell us the nature of the problem.
