open a table from within a form

Is it possible to open a table from within a form? Via a command button?

I need to open a linked table from a form for the purpose of filling out info in the table related to said form record. The table contains information over time for an individual.

I've tried just placing a subform, but I need the asthetic of the entire table as opposed to a single record at a time.
