Open a Solution with DB Project Prompts for Login - Why?

It seems that whenever you open a solution containing a database project,
you are asked to log in. This occurs whether or not you intend to actually
_do_ anything with that database project during any given VS.NET session. We
sometimes have non-programmers open these solutions, and I really hate to
have to teach people to "ignore the dialog and click cancel".

Is there a good reason for this? Perhaps I really do want to be prompted and
just don't know it yet? Or should I report this as a bug or misfeature?

What is the EXACTLY message you have seen on the login dialog?

How did you create a database project?

Check the Tools | Options to see if there is any option available in your
scenario?

Sincerely,

Kevin

Kevin,

Sorry to have taken so long to respond. I needed to get the "free time"
necessary to create a reproducer.
Is the message for user account and password to connect the database?

Yes, that's exactly it. I've usually got the connection strings set up as
"uid=sa;" with no "pwd".

Earlier, you asked how I created the Database Project. I always use "Add To
Project -> New Project" and select Database Project. I then either create or
reuse a connection to the database.

However, my reproducer failed to reproduce the problem! I'll have to wait
until it happens again and then try again to create a reproducer.

Thanks for your time.
