Is there a way to change the opacity of a picture you have inserted into
FrontPage? Thanks in advance.

If you're in this for the long haul and have the time and money..you want to
buy and learn Photoshop.

Otherwise there are a zillion others...
Photoshop Elements
Ulead
Paint Shop Pro

A nice free one is Serif Photo Plus...its at
http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/ this is the free Serif site, software is
not crippled and not time limit or nags, but occasionally you'll get an
email from the sales dept.

You also will want IrFanview with is also free and indispensible for batch
processing, optimizing, renaming, watermarking and maybe even washout (not
sure - I don't use it for that, but would not be surprised if it can)

I'm sure others will add to the list of good image editors.

Fireworks is the premier program for producing web graphics and it's much
less expensive than Photoshop.

I have a really old Fireworks, but don't use it much.
But for graphics, not photo images, I use Xara and EGD. IMO Xara has an edge
over EGD right now...much easier to use.
EGD has the potential to be a stellar product but the learning curve will be
a tad uphill for some - moi included.
