Online forms & spell checking

Hi, I need some help with Spell checking online forms. We have hundreds of
forms that can't be spell check. Docs have been created as protected
templates with form fields etc in tables. I only have experience with macros
in Excel and tried to copy the section from 'How to enable the spellchecker
in a protected document' into a macro, couldn't get it to to work. Wasn't
sure if all had to be copied or only sections

Would be most greatful for any step by step help that could be offered.

Have you tried
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/macrosvba/SpellcheckProtectDoc.htm ?
or
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=...Search&meta=group=microsoft.public.word.vba.*
for other approaches suggested over the years... (Watch out for URL
wrapping! and yes the ".*" is part of the URL).

Salut!

See http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/MacrosVBA/SpellcheckProtectDoc.htm.

Yes, the entire macro has to be copied. What I've done is to put it into a
separate global template with its own spellcheck toolbar that calls the
macro.

Thank you Charles, I did already try this, however, I am an intermediate user
and don't know what the difference between a global template and a template
is, also can't work out how to put it into a spellcheck toolbar that call the
macro. Can you point me in the right direction.

See http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step
instructions on moving / sharing / copying customizations including
AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, macros, etc. This page is about
building a global template.

For more on the different kinds of templates and locations of templates
folders see http://addbalance.com/usersguide/templates.htm.
