One Way Connectivity for 2 of 3 computers on Win XP Workgroup Netw

I have a Linksys Wireless (and Wired 4 port) Router WRT54G and have succeeded
in networking two Dell Desktops (A and B) and a new Thinkpad X-41 Tablet PC
(T). Computers A, B and T all show up in the "View Workgroup Computers"
screen on each of those computers. All three computers connect to the
Internet perfectly.

The problem I have is the following. Computer A has full access to shared
folders on Computers B and T. Computers B and T have full access to shared
folders on each other, but computers B and T have no access to shared folders
on Computer A except for the SharedDocs folder on Computer A. Hence the
subject line of this post.

All computers can ping each other successfully, and there is no change to
this depending on whether T is connected to the network by cable or
wirelessly. Similarly, T's ability to access shared folders on A (it cannot
except for A's SharedDocs) and B (it can) does not change depending on how it
is connected to the network.

Windows Firewall is turned off on all three computers. Windows file and
printer sharing is enabled on all three computers and various folders have
been shared. In trying to get the network to work, I even temporarily shared
the root directory of C: on computer A, but it was to no avail.

All computers have Client for Microsoft Networks, File and Printer Sharing
for Microsoft Networks (as noted above), Quality of Service Packet Scheduler,
and Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) enabled.

When I began to run out of ideas, I tried a safe boot of Windows with
networking enabled on Computer A, but that didn't work either. Finally, I
remembered that Norton AntiVirus had caused a problem on our office network
in the past, so I looked up the solution to that problem, which involved
setting a registry value for IRPStackSize (see Microsoft article kb 177078).
That didn't work either.

I therefore ask for the help of those who are more knowledgeable than I .

Al,

Which version of XP (it is XP right?) is on A, B, and T? If XP Pro, Classic or
Simple File Sharing? If Classic, Guest or non-Guest? Know the differences:

Please let us know if any of these suggestions are of any help. What you learn
may help others in the future, and that's the purpose of these forums.

Hello Chuck:

Thanks very much for those links. All computers have XP Pro, with T having
the Tablet version. I'll read up on your material and get back to you with
the answers to the rest of your questions.
