Hi friends,

I am having a strange problem. I am using Win XP Prof in my office.
Some other computers also connected in the same network(alla re XP
Prof). I have connected a printer to one system and want to share that
printer. Installation is ok.

When I want to connect this printer/system from other system, its
giving error. Access Denied.
But I can able to connect to all computers in the network from that
system but I cannot able to connect to that computer to which the
printer is connected.

How come its happening that one way is accessed and the other way
cannot connect?

Whats wrong. How can I rectify?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like firewall problems.

Disable all firewalls, and see if it still is denied.

Remember to enable them after!!

Hi,

Thanx for the reply. I dodnt enable any firewall. What could be
other solution?

If you didn't install a firewall, Windows' Firewall is running in the
background.

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Security Center.
Then, under Manage Security settings for, click Windows Firewall. Then
change the radio button to Off.

Try and connect again.

Now switch it back on:
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Security Center.
Then, under Manage Security settings for, click Windows Firewall. Then
change the radio button to On.

Let me know what happens
Harry
