Halo All,

I want to join some PC's to a domain.
All user already have their own local profile which is over 1
gigabytes.
I want avoid copying their profiles to new profile (joined to domain)
to save time as well as hard disk space and to avoid misc problems
(some apps won't work after copying to new profile).

Is there a hack to do this ?
at least, I don't need to install same application under local profile
on new profile.

thanks in advance,

Start | Run <type in> compmgmt.msc <enter>

Local Users/Users/ double click on your user
Tab to Profile.

Right click on the words "Profile Path:" left click on "What's this"

thanks Pennywise for your reply,

my situation is :
I don't want the users logon using their old account (local), they must
use domain user account with same old profile.
This is pretty easy. I can change their password locally.
but how to redirect/point to old user profile after they logon using
domain account ?

your solution is brilliant for reverse situation (logon with local
account using another profile).

any clue for me ?
