One too many Windows XP Home

I had XP installed but I could not use(why is not important here). I
installed XP again without removing first OS. I would like to remove that
first system so I have no choice when I restart. How do I remove this system
totally?

Removing the invalid entries from Boot.ini:

The above method may not help if the system folders in the "failed
installation" are intact. If so, you may need to edit the boot.ini file
manually. See the following pages for more information:
