Can't seem to get this one right. I want to:

Use bellsouth DSL as my main account (send out going email)
Receive email from Comast (3 mailboxes)
Receive email from GMail

I set bellsouth as the default account but when I try to send or
forward a message the app freezes on trying to send through
the Comcast account.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
BBB

If 'smtp.comcast.net:25' doesn't work, try 'smtp.comcast.net:465' w/SSL.
Configure your client to use port 465 instead of port 25, and set the client
to authenticate (don't know if Comcast just wants the user name part of the
email address (left of the '@' symbol), or the whole thing). You also have
to set it to use SSL. If you are running MS Outlook 2002 (or maybe it is
2003), there is a bug in earlier Service Packs which causes a failure when
using SSL, so be sure you have the latest updates for the affected version.

If you receive a message via the Comcast account, Outlook will attempt to
use the Comcast account when replying or forwarding. Change the outgoing
server information in the Comcast accounts to match the outgoing server
information for the AT&T (bellsouth) account.

Changing the outgoing information to use 'smtp.comcast.net:465' w/SSL should
also work; unless AT&T FastAccess (Bellsouth) has started blocking all
outbound SMTP traffic, and not just port 25. I am sure that the ATTTFA
customers with SMTP/SSL accounts (such as Gmail and Yahoo! Mail) would just
*love* AT&T for doing that.
