Please forgive me, I have searched through alot of querys on this site that
have answered multiple questions about using one form to update two tables
but I didn't find anything to really answer my question.

I am tracking "ON the JOB" training for my company ie BOEING (Aircraft
manufacturer - Aviation Related). This is the details...

Tables:

1. Employee BOEING 727 OJT RECORDS
2. Employee BOEING 737 OJT RECORDS
3. BOEING OJT Training ( list courses for combo box in form)

FORMS :

1. Multiple Tabs - Tab one is employee information. Each additional tab
then is B727, B737 , B747, B757 , B767 , B777. Each TAB will have combo
boxs (attached to the BOEING OJT Training table) text box (Trainer) text
box (Date trained), combobox (Hours) row source type " Value List

I have done a relationship "one to many " for starters between employees name
to BOEING 727 OJT RECORDS .

My problem - I have had success with using the 727 tab/table. I am trying to
use an expression to get the 737 tab to let me update the BOEING 737 OJT
RECORDS table through control source example =[EMPLOYEE BOEING 737 OJT
RECORDS]![OJT 737 1] . Well its not working. I am thinking that I have
making this database way to technical and guess I should redesign it. But
first wanted to get some expert opinions. I am teaching myself access and
that probably is part of the problem.

Thank you all for your help... I use this forum daily.

A form can have only one record source. A tab form, regardless of the number
of tabs, is still considered one form. The way to do this is to create a sub
form for each tab. Each sub form can have it's own record source. It is
even okay to have have multiple sub forms on one tab if the need arises.
