Once date is entered into a field lock the field for read only

I have a receiving form where the receiver enters his/her name from a combo
box. Once that info is entered, I want to lock the field so no one can
change who the receiver was. Any ideas?

So if someone like me with big fat fingers selects the wrong name from the
combobox, no one can every correct it?

Are you sure you want to do that?

I'm going to guess that the "how" you described is not really the "what"
that you need.

Are you looking for a way to be able to tell if the person who shows as the
receiver is actually the person who (originally) received?

There are other ways to handle that, if that is the business need...
