once a month i have to reinstall

once a month i have to reinstall because windows wont
load, i can get it to boot in safe mode, there are no
errors in event log, no missing drives, and no virus
because it is never connected to the internet, so there is
no need.just running what comes with 2000, it is on a peer
to peer network of 2 computers. it is a hp p3.This is
getting very bothersum i am getting sick of reinstalling
every month, has any one come across this problem before??

If you can boot in safe mode it would seem to indicate a driver/device not
loading.
Have you tried 'enable boot logging' then examining resultant log to
identify device?

If the other computer is connected to the internet then you can still get a
virus if the 2 computers are connected together as you indicated in your
post. Otherwise it is most likely faulty hardware.
