On tables that are linked to a form in Access, only numbers are s.

I created a form from a table and linked it to two other tables with the
correlating data for two columns using a combo box to scroll down from on the
form. Everything shows up as the text given in the form which is great but
when opening the linked table by itself, the columns used for the combo boxes
show up coded as the correlating order of numbers instead of the text. How
can I implement the same scroll down option on the table format as in the
form and see the same text as given on the form in the two table columns?

Table datasheets are *NOT* designed for data viewing or interaction -
only for debugging and design. The table datasheet is showing you *the
actual contents of the table* (the ID numbers); this is a good thing!

I would suggest creating a continuous Form to view the *data in the
table*, with combo boxes on the continouous form to display the
looked-up values (and allow the invisible but real numeric ID's to be
changed if necessary). This continuous Form gives you the best of both
worlds - you can see and scroll through multiple records, and also see
the human-meaningful values rather than the numeric ID's.

Thank you for your input. I'm new at this and have been learning on the fly,
so to speak. I shall look into your suggestion and develop that further.
Thanks again!
