On board NIC on A7N8X-X problem

Hi,
I have just installed WinXP Pro onto a machine with the said mobo in.
Onboard sound and NIC are enabled, and found ok, but I cannot connect to the
internet with the NIC. I have a adsl connection and a SAR715 Router.
When I installed WinXP, I still had the Realtek NIC installed, and winxp
configured that. Then when I installed all the drivers for the mobo, the
onboard NIC was configured for my LAN.
How do I get it going for the internet connection?

Thanks

Right click My Network Places click properties
click make new connection / next and follow the
prompts. If you have only one nic you should
be able to use the defaults.

Ok, I did that; made a new connection, ISP name, but it wants to connect
using PPPoE. Is this the right protocol/? I thought it was PPPoA for UK,
which is where I am.
Anyway, bottom line is, still no connection.

Any other ideas please?

Thanks
