OLExpress image trouble

Outlook Express!

Problem:
One image in signature becomes 2 images at recipient!

This problem is discovered when sent to a hotmail address, that is after
email is sent. Logging into to hotmail using internet explorer!

I created this signature in outlook express:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<title>HelloWorld</title>
<body>
<img src="http://localhost:3525/test/Pages/Blank_270x50.JPG" />
</body>
</html>


any ideas?
