OLE error

I'm trying to insert a Flash menu applet into a web-page, but when I go to preview it, I get a recurring OLE error 800A01A8, and the system crashes.

I've tried to insert by copying the code, I've published it to the page with an add-in, I've tried the same on a blank site with no other content.

Any ideas? All help appreciated
 
OLE is Object Linking and Embedding which is a function of Internet
Explorer. Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer by running the IE repair
tool. Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, click once on Internet Explorer
and click Add/Remove which will open the repair panel.
