OLE Drag & Drop not working

Using WinXPP; when I drag and drop an image into a word
processor, it dispalys a link instead of the image. Any
Ideas?
Dragging from Windows Explorer (thumbnail view, not that
it should matter) to MS Wordpad. This works of three
other PCs that I've tried it on, but not on this one PC
in particular. Looking for help in trying to discover
what is wrong on the one PC.
