old version (OE) sometimes replaces outlook + vica versa!

Having upgraded to outlook - old version (outlook express) sometimes
displaces the new in the desktop and I loos the emails I'd received with the
new vesion. The new version then reappears and I loose the others! How can
I stop this happening please...

Have you got outlook set as your default e-mail application?

Open internet explorer, click on Tools, Internet options, Programs and
ensure default is Outlook.
