The only message that I can display are for last four days. How do I get to
older posts?

can be changed in the options. I set mine to 1000.

A clarification: that's Tools | Options | Read tab.

click Get next <300> headers. The default number

Alternatively, you can uncheck the box, so as not to set any limit at all.

and use the option SEARCH THIS GROUP, which is extremely fast.
Google archives years of posts. You also will not have to download hundreds or thousands
of headers just to find what you want...

Also in Tools/Options - click the Maintenance tab and clear the check box
for: Delete News messages 5 days after being downloaded.

Hi Ken,

If you have the "Get <300> headers" unchecked in the OE Options then you
will not see "Get next <300> headers" in the Tools menu.
