like Word2 or Word6, dated from 1995, I tried to open them in Word
2003, the message was can not start the converter mswrd632, tried the
help and them suggestion was to delete the registry of this converter,
it did not work, some of the file is damaged, it recognize some, the
file is half English and half Arabic, any help? these files are very
important to me.
Thanks in advance
Jam

If you google that error message you'll find a lot of mostly unhelpful
threads, but one consideration is that, by default, a fully patched copy of
Word 2003 will block any files created in the pre-Word 97 file format. For
the solution to that, see "Information about certain file types that are
blocked after you install Office 2003 Service Pack 3" at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=938810

See the Microsoft Office KB article at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973904, which has a Fix it button. As the
article states, the File Conversion dialog may show gibberish. You might try
using the "Recover Text from Any File" setting to open the document.
