In Word 2000, the Format Styles option would open a window that was easily
accessible with key strokes, and that could be closed just as easily as it
was opened. With the XP version of Word, Format Styles brings up an anchored
menu on the side of the screen that isn't easily navigated by key strokes.
And can't be closed without the mouse. At least as far as I can tell. Does
anyone know how to close this new menu without the mouse, via keystrokes?
As someone who worked several years as a word professor in an international
investment bank, I know that many people such as myself must be very
frustrated with the new menu system. Unless we can be enlightened...
(Professional word processors tend to favor key strokes.)
Thanks for any help!
