GettingByOk

Hi,

I upgraded from Adobe Lightroom 1.4 to 2.2. Somewhere back in the 1.4 days I
clicked in a checkbox that made Lightroom 1.4 the default for opening certain
kinds of files when a USB drive is inserted into my computer.

Well, it still fires up Lightroom 1.4 when I insert a USB drive -- even
though I upgraded to 2.2 and Lightroom 1.4 no longer shows in Add/Remove
Programs so I can't deinstall 1.4.

How can I get Lightroom 2.2 to fire up when I insert a USB drive?
Can I deinstall Lightroom 1.4? Adobe usually does a fresh install and
doesn't write over the old version.

Thanks,
Robert

First, if you really do have a full install of 1.4 and a fresh install
of 2.2 in another folder, then I wouldn't call it an "upgrade" because
that's not what you accomplished. It's confusing to anyone who reads
your post, IMHO. To answer your question, maybe it would help to find
the .exe that is launching 1.4 and rename it to something else
(example--lightrm.exe to lightrmold.exe). Perhaps then when you insert
your USB you'll be given a new opportunity to select the .exe for the
2.2 version that you want to run. OTOH, if this were my computer I'd
uninstall 2.2 and if necessary reinstall 1.4 in order to properly
uninstall it, and then reinstall 2.2. YMMV. Hope that helps.
