Howdy,

I can't seem to remove a set of Personal Folders from the folder tree
in OL2K SP3.

Here's the situation:

I travel with a notebook. I run OL on it. After a few days, I copied
its (new, and thus very small) PST file to my desktop system.

I added the new PST in Tools | Services so that at that point I had
two sets of Personal Folders displayed in the tree. I then copied
messages from the small PST to the larger PST that my desktop
ordinarily uses.

When that was done, I went back into Tools | Services to remove the
PST that I no longer needed.

With that completed, I was surprised to see that it still appeared in
the tree, and, I could open it.

I re-checked Tools | Services and it does not appear there.

I closed and re-launched OL, but the small PST still appears.

How might I successfully kill this thing?

Thanks,

If you r-click and choose close, does it return an error? You'll either need
to edit the registry to remove it or create a new profile.

Hi Diane,

If I right click an attempt to close the folders I get an error
telling me that the object cannot be found (yet, it drops down and
displays...)

What is the reg hack to kill it?

Sincere thanks,
