OL2003 on Vista w/multiple user accounts - can't send emails

S

SandraR

After setting up user accounts for my husband and myself, first outlook email
account worked fully, added second outlook account to second user account
then first email account no longer able to send out emails. I created Mail
Profiles with each email account added to the respective profile, now neither
email account can send. Both are setup with mail.comcast.net and
smtp.comcast.net. I also set each one to prompt when opening Outlook.

Is there some protocol that I should change? Any solution?

So exactly what happens when you try? Also, the server names are not the
only significant settings within an account. The ports make a difference as
well. Did you examine Comcast's on-line documentation on how to configure a
mail account?
I also set each one to prompt when opening Outlook.

This is only applicable if you have more than one mail profile for each
Windows user. Given your description of the usage environment, you should
have only one mail profile for each Windows login and so you don't need or
want to prompt for another profile.
