OL2003 Fwds and attachments won't open

T

Tom

My laptop:
Outlook 2003 SP2
WinXP Pro SP2
Exchange 2003 SP3
McAfee AV
Google Desktop/Google add-on to IEv7.0
IE v7.0

Under OL2003, I have an email that was forwarded and I can see the 'folder'
attachment/email in the forward but I can't open the attachment - which is
actually the original email. I can open emails with attached files as well as
the attachment but for the forwards that are sent to me I can't open the
original (or technically the previous email). At this time I'm aware from
the office on a 54Mbps wireless network. What would prevent me from
seeing/opening the forwards original email? [I don't have many forwards
recently so I'm not able to know if this is unique to THIS email or THIS
situation.]

I went on the TechNet website on my laptop in IEv7.0 and I couldn't open for
a "New Message". When I attempted to create this message via IEv7.0 on my
laptop I wasn't able to get the normal pop-up. When I get the hyperlink for
the TechNet responses in Outlook, the hyperlink to see the response doesn't
work so I need to manual browse back to the TechNet area to see the response.

Popup blocking is turned off for the TechNet website. I've also reset the
defaults in IEv7.0 incase there was an issue here. FWIW, I have received
scripting errors in IEv7.0.

I share the IEv7.0 experience in case there is a connection. I am able to
create this message on our Win2K3 SBS server with IEv7.0.

Any ideas of what to do with Outlook?
TIA

Google Desktop Search is known to cause this problem. Remove the Google
Desktop add-in in Outlook.
