Outlook 2003 SP2, all MS updates
WinXP Pro SP2, all MS updates

I have noticed that a folder, OLK93, contains a substantial number of
attachments that were associated with past emails.
1) How can I remove the attachments that don't have an email associated with
them - orphaned attachments? These are primarily if not exclusively Word
files.
2) How can I determine if there are other files that don't have any email
associated to them and to delete these orphaned attachments?
TIA,
Tom

So, Roady, are you saying I can remove ALL the entries in OLK93 without any
adverse issues? (assuming I don't have any apps using any of the documents).
Nice link to the howto-outlook.com. Thanks!
1) Where are the attachment kept?
2) What other temp directories can I 'have fun with' and to what limitation?
Tom

It's just a temp-folder. Clearing that folder doesn't remove the attachment
from the actual message. To easily clear them you can use OutlookTools
(free);

Yup, if you don't want the files you can remove them.

1) Attachments are being stored within the message which are being stored in
a pst-file.
2) That's pretty much the only temp-folder. OutlookTools also allows easy
access to other folders important to Outlook.

I'm starting an other thread on exporting Outlook emails/folders if you want
to respond. You brought up another topic that's unrelated in some ways to
this thread.
