Howdy,
I run OL2002 with Win 2K Pro...
On occasion (and it is happening currently) I have difficulty replying
to an HTML message.
Here's what happens:
I have the incoming HTML note on screen, and click the Reply button. I
use Word as my email editor. Word opens, the incoming message is at
the bottom of the screen. Above that is my signature. And above that
is some space into which I can enter my response to the message.
I then start typing, and the first few characters appear fine. In
fact, everything looks perfect for about ten seconds.
Then, after each character I type there appears a bold vertical black
line. Those lines quickly get more and more bold until they obscure
the characters I am typing. Occasionally, other characters jump ahead
of those I am typing. I am not positive, but I believe that those
extraneous characters are taken from parts of the message to which I
am replying.
In any case, it is impossible for me to reply to an HTML message
(while I am using HTML myself.) I can solve the problem by setting my
reply to use plain text only, but that is merely a workaround as I
sometimes need the formatting available with HTML.
I will add that all is fine if I am creating a new HTML message rather
than replying to one that I have received.
Might you help me to correct this difficulty?
Sincere thanks for any suggestions,
