OL2000 Export Problem

Rich

Hi. System here is WinXP Pro SP1 with OL2000 installed as part of
Office 2000 Pro. The hadr drive on which OL is partitioned.
Office/OL2000 are NOT installed on the C drive.

I've discovered that I am unable to export anything from OL2000 using
FILE: IMPORT & EXPORT: EXPORT TO A FILE: COMMA SEPARATED VALUES
(WINDOWS). The problem is that there is no list of folders from which
to export from. I've not run into this before. Any suggestions?
I've run the repair tool with the same result.

Does the Next button not work or do you see a completely white box? Does the
same happen when you try to export to a different file format?

Just curious; why a CSV format?

when i click NEXT after selecting the export file format i see a
completely blank box where the list of folders to export from should
be. and yes, the same thing happens with the other file format
options.

why CSV..well, no real reason i guess. its what i've always used to
export from one pst file into another (2 different pc's).

any ideas on what is going on?

Tried a repair on Office already?

Note that you can also copy the pst-file between machines and use File->
Open-> Outlook Data File... to connect to it. In case you'll need to
import/export it is still better to stick to the pst-file format which is
Outlook's native format.

i don't see either the OPEN:CONNECT option on my OL2000 menu. as for
the other, yup, that would probably be a better option...if it were
available to me (same problem...no folder list). i just don't get it.
any other suggestions?

You probably have File-> Open-> Personal Data File... then (Outlook 2000)

If not you must add the service by Tools-> Services (or E-mail Accounts;
depending on yur installation mode) and choose Add...-> Personal Folders
