Note: The method I used to restore my old PST data into a re-install of OL
was simply overwriting the default 'Outloook.pst' file with a backup of my
original.

When I go to send a new mail message, click the 'To...' or 'Cc...' buttons
produces a warning - "The address list could not be displayed. The Contact
folder associated with this address list could not be opened; it may have
been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions.... See help..."

Then a 'Select Names' dialog is displayed, but nothing from my contacts.

How to re-attach my Contacts for sending mail messages?

* I have Admin. permissions.
* I can access and manage my Contacts no problem.

Does my problem come from the way I restored my old PST data?
Should I 'Import' my Contacts manually (in which case every one will be a
duplicate) ?
ie. File > Import and Export > From another program or file > Personal
Folder File (.pst), and select my Outlook.pst file which has the same
contacts I can already access?

Thanks Robert.

I followed your instruction successfully.
But the same condition exists.

I tried to 'Import' contacts from my original .pst backup (allowing
duplicates) but still the same.

Any advice?

Where in that page does it tell you to IMPORT anything?

Gordon,
Import isn't mentioned anywhere on that page.

I tried it because the whole instruction including 'File > Open > Outlook
Data File' did not fixed my problem..
So I tried to IMPORT the contacts.

Like I said above, I can access and manage them separately no problem.
Only when creating a new mail they and clicking the 'To' & 'Cc' buttons I
get the error message - quote in the 2nd paragraph of my first post.
