OL 2007 Personal Folders Not Closing Properly in Vista

Hello,

Almost every time I start OL 2007 running under Vista, I get a message that
bad=sically says that my dat file Personal Folders file was not properly
closed last time and OL is checking it. It is always found to be ok, but I am
concerned as to why it is not being closed properly.

I always close OL 2007 before shuting down the PC by clicking on the
appropriate buttons. Plus, OL has not usually been open for some period of
time before shutting down.

Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this or how to correct it?

TIA

Thanks for the prompt reply, Roady. I had never checked before, but now I did
and OL Process is still open after exiting the application. Also, I get
notices when a new email arrives even when I am not in OL. OL 2003 in Win XP
did not do this. I tried to find out how to turn off the notices when I am
not in OL, but could not find out where to do it.

I would like to turn off the notices when I am not in OL.

Does the outlook.exe process actually quits when you close Outlook?

Roady,

I was hoping you would followup with some comment to my reply. Hopefully you
are someone else will, since the problem still exists.
