OL 03 "Show Map of address" Issue

This problem has to do with the "Show Map of address"
function in Outlook (2003) contacts. I used to have Map
Point 2002 and it placed a button in all contact forms to
show a map of the address. It worked fine. I recently
uninstalled Map Point 2002 and installed Streets and
Trips 2004 (in favor of updated maps, ect). The problem
is that now, the old Map Point toolbar button is still
there, and the functionality of "show map of address" is
broken. Does anyone know how to get Streets and Trips to
respond to launching a map through an Outlook contact
form?

Actually, Outlook 2003 puts a "Display map" button on its contact form for
everyone, whether or not you have MapPoint installed locally or not -- for
most people, the button directs you to the MSN Maps & Directions website
(which uses MapPoint as its engine). Perhaps if you have MapPoint locally
installed it will take you to the local copy instead -- I don't have it
installed so I don't know for sure. I don't think you can point it to a
different locally installed program such as Streets & Trips.

If you're interested in using a web-based mapping service, you might want to
bookmark this page -- http://www.poremsky.com/displaymap.htm. It may be
possible to edit the registry to point the map button to a different web
service, and some registry keys are listed on that page. However, there are
no registry keys currently posted for Outlook 2003; the Outlook 2002 keys
don't seem to work in 2003. If Diane Poremsky finds the right combination
for Outlook 2003, she'll post it on that page.
