remember the kernel32.dll? My Adware deleted it, but for
some reason it came back alive. I ran up my Norton Anti
Virus, Updated it and scanned my SYSTEM32 Directory
again. Results were a bit more different than i expected.
My Norton started popping up these messages
saying "WARNING NORTON DETECTED BACKDOOR.NETDEVIL LOCATED
IN C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/kernel32.dll" Ok guess what, this
is not a joke.

All im having trouble now is just finding a way to
recover the DLL file. Anyoone can help lol just dont make
dumb replies thank u

Hi Johnny,

I doubt that Ad-aware removed that file. It probably removed whatever you
had that caused the problem. If you play online games you can expect to have
trouble with your machine. Most of them are loaded with adware and spyware.

LOL, JAX

Even if adAware said it deleted it, I doubt it did. It will do that
sometimes, which is one thing I don't like about AdAware. The
file looks to be protected by the system, so I don't think
AdAware can get rid of it, which is a good thing because
you need that dll file. It's also very curious that this
file is identified as a trojan. Because the file is protected
by microsoft (I think) and it's hard to see how it can be
manipulated or swapped out for another file with an identical
name. You say you want to recover the file. Do a search. I think
it must still be there. If not, go to AdAware's quarantine archive
section and re-install the file.

Go to your XP restore function and restore to a date that is *safely*
prior to when you discovered it. Then scan again with Norton, AdAware,
and quit downloading crapware.
