Hello,

I have my PST for Outlook 2003/2007 on my NAS network hard drive, which is
accessed via my wireless network. I don't use Exchange but is it possible
to have my PST available offline in Windows XP Pro? At the moment access is
slow so I imagine things would speed up if my PST was offline? If this is
possible can I specify where to store the offline version? Do I need an
Exchange Server?

Microsoft doesn't support the use of PST files from any type of network
storage. The file should be on your local ("C") drive.

not sure what you mean, either, a pst file is an off-line file, in that you
don't need to be on-line with the mail server to get at it. Outlook is
accessing the pst file over the network, the only way to speed it up is to
put the pst file on a local drive.

If for some reason it needs to be on the network, you can right-click it and
go Make available off-line, and windows will keep a copy of it on you local
drive for you.

OK, no use to me.

I know at work it syncs from the mail server down to my local machine when I
log into Outlook, was hoping that I could so something similar here.

Hi there,

I've already tried making the PST offline, it doesn't work. I was basically
after some sort of syncing. I need the master copy of my network but for it
to sync to a local version of my D: drive.
