I have created a form that i would like to be downloaded
and completed offline. The form could then be saved to
the user's hard disk, only to connect when they actually
come to submit the form. I would like the form to be
submitted to me in html format (i have made the data
persist).

If I set my form properties to send to file name and
email address, will this work?

Can i create a submit button that will prompt the user to
connect to the internet, or even do it automatically?

Many thanks,

Tom

Thanks for that.

So the email will be sent directly to me? I don't have to
publish the webpage (i want it to be completed offline
and only connect to return it to me)

rgds,

Tom

Hi Tom,

If you're sending an HTML based email form it would work
the same as if viewed with the browser.

The forms to email function requires the form to be http published to a host
running the FrontPage server extensions with the forms to email transport
enabled and configured by the host.

OK, I can do this, but does this provide the user with
write access to my site - i.e. is there any security risk?

thanks,

Tom
