Hi,

I have a user who uses a laptop in the office who also uses offline files.
The problem that we are having is that when the user logs onto a normal
desktop, it seems to enable offline files on the PC to match the same as that
on his laptop. We dont want offline files on any of the Desktops, we
currently have to keep unsetting the offline files settings after the user
has used the PC. Is there anyway of setting it so that the user doesnt effect
the offline files settings when logging onto a desktop?.

Thanks for any help

As the other reply states, group policies. Put the laptops in a separate OU
that has offline files enabled via a linked policy, and put the desktops in
an OU that has offline files disabled.

microsoft.public.windows.group_policy might be a good group to lurk in /sub
to.
