Offline folder problems

Hi Guys,

Basically I installed Outlook 97 on my office PC which is
connect to microsoft exchange server.

For some reason all of my messages were copied into
offline folders, this causes a problem, whenever I open up
outlook I get this message.

Upload of offline changes could not be completed you do
not have sufficient permission to perform this operation
on this object. See the folder contact or see your system
administrator.

I do not administrator access on my user profile, every
time I open outlook it resets everything I have changed
(view etc) and gives that error message. How can I resolve
this? Do I need to remove the offline folders somehow?

Thanks,

Daniel.

'Tools' 'Services' highlight Exchange Server 'properties' then goto
the delivery tab. Change the location for 'deliver all
messages....'

No - that would change delivery to a PST file, which is not recommended in
an Exchange environment.

Not sure about OL97 (it was extremely buggy, which is why OL98 was released
as a free upgrade), but check with your Exchange admin to see if anyone else
is having a similar problem. You could also try deleting the OST file (and
if you aren't on a laptop or remote PC, you probably don't need offline
access, so you could disable that entirely) to see if this helps.
