Where can i find Cached offline files using windows xp.? What file
association do they use. How can i recover an accidently deleted file
(hopfully still stored in the cache) before i have to re-link with my network.

The location of the client-side cache is "c:\windows\CSC", but I don't
believe it's as simple as just browsing to this folder and retreiving the
file, as they are likely symbolic links and do not visually appear as the
files you would expect.

If you're just trying to recover an accidentally deleted file before
reconnecting to the network, you will proably want to look into something
like 'RecoverMyFiles' or another data recovery program that can scan the
hard disk for files without and MFT entry.

Alternatively, if the file you deleted still exists on the network (even as
an older version), have the system admin copy that file to a safe-holding
area,. Once you re-sync, then just get the file from the System admin.

Goodluck, Cheers!
