Offline Files Enabled. Cannot Disable

I've asked this before and did not get an answer.

I have Windows XP, Office 2003, Internet Explorer 6

When I shut down my computer, Offline Files runs and always has errors. I
don't USE Offline files so troubleshooting the errors is pointless.
However, when I go into Folder Options as the MS Knowledge base suggests and
follow the instructions there, I cannot click the Enable Offline Files box
to turn it of. The first 3 choices in the folder options Offline Files tab
are grayed out so that I cannot change them. I do not have remote profiles.

Someone told me that perhaps there are 'services' running that prevent it
from being turned off. The only thing I've done so far to get it to go away
is delete Mobsync.exe completely off my machine. It was gray before and
after that. And now I don't have the problem when I shut down, BUT I still
want to know HOW to turn that button off and get it un-grayed. All our
other machines are able to check the box so it's something on my machine
that prevents me from making the change.

Hi Carla,

You can do this by running "gpedit.msc" from your run menu.
Under Administrative templates you will find a topic called Network. in
there there is a folder Offline files set all option to not configured and
you will find you gained back all controle.

regards,
Erik
