Hi,
I can't find anything in the KB about the problem I am
experiencing. Let me sketch the scenario first...
We have a user that works between three of our university
campuses and needs to log in with her portable computer
at each campus. When she doesn't connect to her home
campus, access to her files is slow because we have a low
bandwidth between the campuses.
What I need to do is to make a copy of her network files
on her local disk, enable offline files, and let her
MANUALLY update the files that have changed in simple
steps. When I say manually, I mean that the computer
shouldn't automatically try to update, but rather on her
command. She is not technically savvy, but can follow
instructions if it is not too complicated.
So, I thought that the offline files option would be a
good solution, but it just gives me a blunt error message
without more information, which says "offline files
cannot be enabled". I checked the knowledge base, and it
talks about using gpresult, which just returns "user
AFTMMV\Administrator does not have RSOP data".
I searched on Google for similar problems in a forum or
something, and only got one reference, which doesn't
solve my problem.
What else can I do?
