offline files and folder redirection

If I have 'My Documents' pointing to a network drive Lets say Q: While
offline I create a new file and save it. Until I connect and sync where is
the file located. If I saved it to my documents it shows under Q: in my
explorer Where is the cache for this. Could someone explain the
proccess to me.
 
Offline files are stored in the Windows\CSC directory on your computer. They
can not however be accessed by normal means in that directory as in seeing
the actual .doc files, etc.
