Offline Dictionary Use

I currently use Microsoft Office 2007. For Word 2007, I am unable to use the
english dictionary when I am offline. Is there a way to be able to view the
dictionary offline, possibly with a download? I can view translations and the
thesaurus offline, but when I try to look up a word it says to go online.
Thanks

Hi Alger,

Word has a limited thesauraus capability built in. The services in the Research task pane (Review=>Research) are connected online
resources. There are 3rd party dictionary/reference products you may want to investigate.

Hi Alger,

The references accessible via the Research pane are an on-line
service indeed: the monolingual dictionaries (with definitions, etc) are in
fact the
Encarta dictionaries (for English, French, etc). They are included in the
Encarta products, so it is entirely possible to access them when you are
working off line if you have the Encarta encyclopedia.

I hope it helps,
