I cannot use some of the features on my drawing toolbar, such as inserting an
arrow, how do I make these features active?
 
Are you using the tool correctly? Select the arrow then click and drag in
the workspace to create the arrow there.

When I click on the arrow key on the drawing toolbar the arrows/buttons are
in active(grey). I figureed out another way to go about inserting arrows
into text by using the insert:symbol tab, but I would really like to be able
to use the toolbar.
